Synopsis
In this first VES Class of the EI Course, host Raymond Rondeau explains the importance and reasoning of many of the foundational investing beliefs of AAII and that successful investors feel are most relevant. Included in this class is a real-life story illustrating that the building of wealth is possible for anyone who develops a sound plan (that is right for them), who is willing to take action to implement that plan and who has the discipline to follow it. Commonly misunderstood themes that are addressed include the incorrect belief that an investor needs lots of starting capital, has to allocate extensive amounts of time, has to develop ultrasophisticated strategies or needs costly data feeds or expensive equipment to be effective.
